Biography

Bardo Frings is a random media artist from The Hague, The Netherlands. He started out designing his own computer games around the age of 12, composed pseudo-Aphexian electronic music as a teenager, and wrote disturbing short stories puzzling his fellow classmates during high school. These creative activities evolved into the creation of computer generated art and abstract expressionist live cinema performances during his studies at the ArtScience Interfaculty in The Hague.

Subsequently, while enrolled into the Media Technology MSc. programme at Leiden University, his output further matured and developed into conceptual art projects, essays and papers reflecting on topics such as art and propaganda, philosophy of technology, bioelectromagnetic research, and how society deals with controversial scientific knowledge. Themes that continue to evolve in his work since.
